Half mount of the animal skin is used to make a half mount.  The front feet of the animal are included in the mount usually standing on a habitat/base with the back fixed tot he wall. Whole animal are mounted and fixed to a habitat /base, sometimes a full mount can be mounted without a base when lying or in a sitting position.
